As in previous years this event is by invitation and each coalition may register 2 community members to attend. In addition, their local AHS representative is also encouraged to attend.
Financial support for travel, where needed, is available for 2 community members. However, this year the Addiction Prevention Unit (APU) is unable to provide financial support for AHS zone staff to attend, as we have in the past. To alleviate expenses and encourage zone participation, the APU has changed the event from a two-day to a one-day event. We hope this makes travel and expenses for the zones manageable.

Where is the Conference?
Q. Where is the 2012 workshop being held?
A. The conference is being held at the Clarion Hotel and Conference Centre, in Calgary AB.
There is free parking onsite.
Q. Where is the Clarion Hotel and Conference Centre located?
A. The hotel is located at 2120 - 16th Avenue NE, Calgary, AB, Canada, T2E 1L4
Q. Where should I make hotel reservations for the conference?
A. If you are community partner, we will reserve a hotel room for you on your behalf. A credit card will be required upon arrival for any incidentals.
If you are an AHS staff member, please make your own reservations at the Clarion Hotel and Conference Centre. To receive a group rate indicate that you are with the Alberta Health Services- Coalitions Connect group.
Q. I’m an AHS staff member, how should I make my hotel reservation?
A. Call 403 291-4666. Indicate to the booking agent that you are with Alberta Health Services-Coalitions Connect to ensure you receive the group booking rate.
Q. What is located around the hotel?
A. There are a variety of restaurants and shopping centres in close proximity to the hotel. As well there is a restaurant located in the hotel lobby.

A. You can find the form by going to the registration link on the menu bar above.
Q. I am a community partner, after the event, how do I claim my expenses?
A. Fill out and submit the Travel Expense Form that will be provided at the event. Be sure to include all original receipts.
Q. Who do I send the final travel expense claim forms to?
A.Please fill the expense claim form out, sign, attach all original receipts and mail them to Jessie McDougall:

Follow these few simple steps using the links below:
1. Fill in the registration form located below
2. Save your registration form, attach and email form to: Addiction.Prevention@albertahealthservices.ca
3.Hotel reservation: If you are a community partner, we will book you a hotel room, on your behalf. If you are an AHS staff member please reserve your own room at the Clarion Hotel and Conference Centre.
